พืชล้มลุก มีเหง้าอยู่ใต้ดิน สูง 15-30 ซม. ใบ เดี่ยว เรียงสลับ รูปยาวรีแกมหอก กว้าง 1.5-3 ซม. ยาว 5-15 ซม. ปลายใบแหลม โคนใบสอบเรียว ผิวใบด้านบนเกลี้ยง ด้านล่างมีขนประปราย ก้านใบยาว 6-22 ซม. ดอก สีขาว ออกเป็นช่อ ยาวประมาณ 10 ซม. ก้านช่อยาว 3-6 ซม. ใบประดับ 2 ใบ สีเขียวเชื่อมติดกันเป็นรูปถ้วย กลีบรองดอกสีขาว เชื่อมกันเป็นหลอด ยาว 2 ซม. หลอดกลีบดอก ยาว 4 มม. แยกเป็นแฉกรูปขอบขนาน กลีบปากรูปไข่กลับ ปลายกลีบแยกเป็น 2 พู กลางกลีบมีแต้มสีเหลืองอ่อน ก้านเกสรผู้สั้น ผิวเกลี้ยง อับเรณู ยาว 4 มม. รังไข่รูปทรงกระบอก ผิวเกลี้ยง

Perennial rhizomatous herb, 15-30 cm high. Leaves simple, alternate, narrow elliptic to lanceolate, upper surface glabrous, lower surface sparsely hairy, 5-15 cm long by 1.5-3 cm wide; base attenuate; apex acute to acuminate; petiole 6-22 cm long. Inflorescence terminal, erect, composed of fleshy spirally arranged bracts, up to 10 cm long; bracts 2, green, united, cup-like; scape 3-6 cm long. Flowers white; calyx white, tubular, tube ca 2 cm long; corolla campanulate, tube ca. 4 mm long, lobes oblong; labellum obovate, 2 lobes, with pale yellow patch in the throat; filament short, glabrous; anther ca 4 mm long; ovary cylindrical, glabrous.

ภูมิภาคอินโดจีน ประเทศไทย พบในทุ่งหญ้าและป่าเต็งรัง ทางภาคเหนือและภาคตะวันออก เฉียงเหนือ ออกดอกช่วงเดือนมีนาคม-พฤษภาคม

Thailand and Indochina. In Thailand, found in grasslands and deciduous dipterocarp forests in the north and northeastern regions. Flowering from March to May.
